Hi! I’m Emma, the illustrator and founder of By Emma Dearling.
From my cozy studio in Surrey, I create art that brings people together through shared experiences of mental health and neurodiversity.
After being diagnosed with epilepsy in 2019, I found it difficult to navigate the world and feel "normal." Illustrating became a powerful tool for coping with my diagnosis, helping me reclaim my identity and independence. Now, I’m on a mission to help others like me feel less alone.
Through comics, prints, and products, I share my story and offer relatable humor, coping mechanisms, and a bit of joy. I believe in kindness, honest conversations, and the idea that we’re all going through something—and that art can help us through.
Welcome to By Emma Dearling, a place for community, empathy, and creativity.
You can find my work on Instagram, Etsy, Redbubble and Thortful!
